Orientation and local infrastructure access. Welcome session with Best Safaris representatives to finalize field gear requirements.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Transfer to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Afternoon game drive in Ol Pejeta. Focus on rhino conservation and northern hemisphere transit at the Equator.
Samburu National Reserve
Northward transit to Soroi Samburu Lodge. Arid ecosystem survey. Initial tracking of the Samburu Special Five species.
Samburu Operations
Field walk with reserve rangers. Tree planting and community-led reforestation project participation.
Reteti Elephant Sanctuary
Technical visit to Reteti, Kenya’s first community-owned elephant sanctuary. Witness rehabilitation protocols for orphaned calves.
Nairobi Transit
Return transit from Samburu to Nairobi. Logistics check and rest period before Masai Mara flight operations.
Masai Mara Flight
Light aircraft flight from Wilson Airport to the Mara. Check-in at Soroi Mara Bush Camp. Evening predator monitoring.
Mara Plains Ecosystem
Full-day game drives. Detailed tracking of seasonal movements and ecosystem health. Evening debrief by the fire.
Olmalaika Trust

Final Departure
